NSW Men retained their continuing hold on the Senior Nationals’ title in a hard fought battle in over-time against a very determined Queensland. The men played Queensland in regular rounds the previous night securing a solid victory but Queensland regrouped and came out hard from the start of the final. With 17:17 the score at the end of regular time NSW, who had been unbeaten in the competition until this stage, had to work hard for 23:20 final win. The Women also fought hard against Queensland, with Queensland the overall winners at 22:20 in a nail biting finish. Like the Men, the NSW Women had won against Queensland in the regular rounds, with a one goal margin and Queensland was determined from the outset.
