Seeking a new Junior Development Officer

JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

NSWHA is seeking applications for the above vital position within our organisation. Whilst currently a volunteer position, there is the potential for this to become a paid position in 2015. Additionally, the role may be shared by a small team of interested individuals.

The primary responsibilities of the Junior Development Officer are to:

  • Conduct the Schools’ Championships
  • Coordinate the attendance at junior and youth events, including NSW squad trials
  • Coordinate coaches and referees to attend schools for handball-related sessions
  • Improve opportunities for junior and youth players to become involved in handball

Given the above responsibilities, the ideal candidate will have the ability to teach and demonstrate handball skills, whilst having a strong passion for the sport. The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Working With Children Check.

In the past five years solid foundations have been set and it is essential that we continue to build upon these. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to develop on this success. If you believe you have the necessary attributes to fulfil this role, please forward your expression of interest to NSWHA Secretary-General, Bronwyn Thompson (bronwyn@www.nswhandball.com.au).
