About us

The NSW Handball Association (NSWHA) is the organising body for Handball (sometimes also known as Team, European or Olympic Handball) in NSW.  NSW Handball is a member of the national governing body, the Australian Handball Federation.

NSW Handball’s mission is to support, promote and grow handball in NSW.  We currently run an open age weekly Club Competition between May and October, a Schools Championships for high school teams in May, participate in the Junior Nationals with U16, U18, U21 boys and girls teams in June/July and the open Senior nationals in October.  In 2010 we also hope to add an U14 team as we progressively grow the sport to suit younger players. For younger players, NSW Handball runs participation sessions for schools and in conjunction with Sydney Olympic Park. We also participate in Gala days where possible.

NSW Handball is governed by elected Executive and Representatives of participating clubs. (See the Executive section for more information on Board). The participating clubs are members of the Association once they have met the Associations’ criteria.  Contact the President for further information Scott@nswhandball.com

NSW Handball gratefully acknowledges NSW Sport and Recreation, NSW Communities and our various events’ sponsors for their continued assistance.
